Catholicos of All Armenians not to attend holy mass in St. Cross Church of Van
Catholicos of All Armenians not to attend holy mass in St. Cross Church of Van July 27, 2010

Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II will not travel to Turkey to attend the holy mass to be served in St. Cross Church of Van September 19. Instead, 2 representatives from Holy Echmiatsin will participate in the mass, the spokesman of the Mother See of Holy Echmiatsin Bishop Vahram Melikyan told Panorama.am.

Melikyan didn’t provide the names of the two spirituals, though, according to him, the people to leave for Turkey are known already and information on it will be rleased shortly.

Note that St. Cross is a church in Akhtamar island of Van and there is no cross placed atop the church by now.
