    6,426 New Armenian Citizens in First Half of 2010
    July 19, 2010

    During the first six months of 2010, 6,426 individuals were granted Armenian citizenship, compared to only 2,506 during the same period in 2009.

    67,912 individuals were granted entry permits to Armenia in the first half of 2010, up from 46,205 during the same period last year. The RoA Department of Passports and Visas says the uptick is based on an increase in the number of foreign tourists.
