The present volume is the critical edition of the Classical Armenian text of the Commentary on the Book of Isaiah by St Gregory of Tathev (Grigor Tathevatsi). In fact, as St Gregory himself writes in the title of the work and in the colophon, this commentary is a florilegium made by him from the "luminous words" of his teacher St John of Orotan (Hovhan Vorotnetsi). The critical text has been prepared for publication on the basis of four manuscripts of XIV and XV centuries, from the collection of the Mashtots Matenadaran.
