ANONYMOUS: Commentary on the Book of Isaiah...

Commentaries on the Old Testament Books, Vol. 12

Anonymous, Commentary on the Book of Isaiah and Sargis Kund, Commentary on the Book of Isaiah (excerpts)

Holy Etchmiadzin, 2003, 392 pp. (in Armenian)

The major part of the 12th volume of the "Commentaries on the Old Testament Books" comprises the commentary on the Book of Isaiah by an anonymous author. The critical text has been prepared for publication on the basis of three manuscripts of the 16th and 18th centuries of the Mashtots Matenadaran. The second part of the volume presents excerpts from the lost commentary on the Book of Isaiah by the renowned Armenian Vardapet of the 12th century, Sargis Kund. The excerpts have reached us through George of Skevra's commentary on the same book of the Old Testament. These excerpts have been prepared for publication on the basis of three manuscripts of the 13th and 14th centuries.

The critical texts have been prepared, and the Introduction written by Armen Malkhasyan.
