Catechism of Orthodox Faith (TV show)
Catechism of Orthodox Faith (TV show)

of Christianity. How are the basic tenets and teachings of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church interrelated with the Christian faith? What are the sources of our doctrine, the sacred traditions of the Church, as well as the teachings distinctive to the Armenian Church? How does the Armenian Apostolic Church teaching differ from other Christian traditions?

Disastrous experiments to replace Christianity with certain moral and ideological systems have greatly distorted the mentality of people. Under persistent pressure from the activity of various sects, people’s spiritual perceptions have become skewed. In general, religious movements responding to people’s spiritual needs offer knowledge and practice meant to enlighten our spiritual inner world. But is that knowledge reliable? What is its foundation? Is there an historical experience of the realization of that knowledge? Unacknowledged failures may be repeated with negative results.

Every religious system is tested by its historical experience. The Armenian Apostolic Church has a tremendous and unique historical heritage, as well as knowledge and experience, which have been confirmed and sacralized by the experience of Church Fathers, saints and martyrs. This collective experience, documented and available for our reflection and analysis, facilitates each of us to discover the safest and truest path.
