How should we safeguard our identity in times when we are constantly bombarded with information and ideas which often act to erode the sense of one’s identity? How can Armenians persevere in the current geopolitical conditions? We offer the means. Learn more about the history of Armenia, our heritage, our language, our traditions, and values during the radio program “Akunk” (Source).
For already many years, the expeditions of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the NAS RA, together with their foreign colleagues, carry out excavations in Areni (Vayots Dzor region) and in the stone-age station "Nor Geghi – 1" (Kotayk region). They have already published several articles about their finds in authoritative scientific journals of the world. In Nor Geghi, they have discovered 325-330 thousand-year-old stone tools, that is, tools that had been created by primitive humans. These finds give an exclusive possibility to break old stereotypes in the world science.
