One of the major departments of the YSU Institute of Armenological Studies is dedicated to Armenian-Ottoman relations. There aren’t Armenian-Turkish relations as such; there is an Armenian-Turkish conflict, that is, the relations are hostile.
It seems this department is only engaged in scholarly work, but it’s mostly political, because we have political and legal issues with Turkey that are not solved historically, while Turkey is not disposed to solve them as well as has adopted a denying policy since the beginning.
