16 January Hayfilm in the Postwar Years
World War II interrupted the development of cinematography in Soviet republics. From the half of the 1950s, began the new, modern stage of the development of Armenian cinema. Hayfilm hosted new figures: Grigor Melik-Avagyan, Laert Vagharshyan, Yuri Yerznkyan, Frunze Dovlatyan, Henrik Malyan and others, who were to make their first steps as film directors.
