Today is the birthday of the greatest German romantic. He dreamed of becoming a virtuoso pianist, but the incurable ailment of his right hand made him give up these hopes. The best performer of his piano works was his wife – the prominent pianist Clara Wieck. On the occasion of Schumann's birthday, we present the radio essay "Struggle for Clara."
