The program "Tagharan" is dedicated to the Armenian spiritual and folk music. At the heart of the creation of the program is the idea of kinship of the above two branches of national musical culture, which received its first scientific justification thanks to Komitas. In the frames of the program we'll try to consider the edges of contact between Armenian folk and sacred music, to present the stages of historical development and genre manifestations of the mentioned two branches, to describe the music component of the national rites and rituals of the Church, to turn to the works of genius of the art of spiritual singing, and also to discuss actual problems of the Armenian medieval science and folklore science with the participation of the representatives of these areas.
