Stepan Ghorghanyan, the Civil Governor of Kars in 1919-1920, also analyzes in his unpublished memoires the political, military, social, economical, moral and psychological conditions created in the Armenian republic, especially the circumstances of and reasons for the collapse of the Armenian army and for the surrender of the country to the Turks without resistance at the end of October and in the beginning of November 1920, which resulted in the fall of the fragile Armenian state of that time.
